Environmentally friendly innovation

An effective partner of sustainable development, Aerolia is committed to implementing environmentally-friendly technologies and manufacturing processes, from design to production.

Certified ISO 14001 since 2005, the Aerolia sites will continue their development in compliance with the most stringent environmental standards. Bureau Veritas auditors conducted an audit in November 2008 and issued a positive recommendation for EN 9100 and ISO 14001 certification for the three Aerolia sites, meaning they were certified when the Company was officially created.

Always Greener production sites

The Saint Nazaire site, specialised in the manufacture of detail metal parts, has developed benchmark surface treatment facilities, using water-based, non-polluting paints, thereby reducing solvent and chromate emissions.

More recently, this site has introduced mechanical machining of 3D fuselage panels. This remarkable innovation, a world first, does not use any chemical products and perfectly illustrates Aerolia's ambition in the field of innovation: improve product quality and reduce costs, while respecting the environment. The equation is not impossible and the Aerolia personnel prove this every day.

At Méaulte, specialised in the assembly of nose fuselage components and subassemblies for all the group's plants, there has been a significant improvement in the recycling and treatment of water by the replacement of water cooling by an air cooling system for certain machine tools.

In addition, the implementation of cryogenic cleaning and use of synthetic cutting oils are among the many examples which prove that the "Greener" concept is no longer an ambition for the future but is a reality, as demonstrated on all our production sites.
