PRESS RELEASE

Aerolia will be present at International Paris Air Show Le Bourget

From 15 to 21 June 2009, AEROLIA will be present at the Paris Air Show on Stand E 64 Hall 2. Its competencies and technologies in the metals and composites domain will be on display on its 100 m2 stand.

The skills of the AEROLIA Design Office at the service of our "Design & Build" strategy and our “lean & eco-efficience” approach will be at the heart of the exchanges. An A320 Section 11 will be displayed, demonstrating the know-how of AEROLIA, world No. 2 for nose fuselage subassemblies and French aerostructures leader.

A door frame, produced on the eco-efficient mechanical milling installations, will show the progress made with this alternative to chemical milling: a world first for Saint-Nazaire. With an investment of €220 million, the latest composite technologies will also be present on the stand. With work under way at Méaulte for the construction of a new Composites production unit, a 3 metre-long model will show the future unit dedicated to the A350 XWB nose section.

This model has been produced by the AEROLIA employees with LEGO bricks, implementing a highly original managerial technique; the assembly of 100,000 bricks has federated the teams around this new composites unit, giving them a opportunity to participate in the project.
And finally, on the GIFAS stand Aerolia will take part in the Trades Forum and will present the skills which support its performance and are already shaping the future of the company.
