For its Global 7000 and Global 8000 aircraft fuselage, Bombardier has chosen Aerolia

On 16 May 2011 at the EBACE aeronautical airshow in Geneva,
Bombardier Aerospace announced that it has chosen Aerolia as one of its main suppliers for the Global 7000 and Global 8000 aircraft program.

Bombardier Aerospace is one of the world’s leading companies designing, manufacturing and maintaining innovative aviation products for the corporate, airline, specialised and amphibious aircraft sectors.

Bombardier has chosen Aerolia to design, manufacture and maintain the central fuselage section of the new Global 7000 and Global 8000 business jets.The 14 m long fuselage will be delivered to Bombardier entirely fitted with all control systems and pipes.

In carrying out the programme, Aerolia will be able to demonstrate its full range of know-how:

-  In design and engineering, in which Aerolia teams will be working alongside the Bombardier programme management in optimising performance of the Global 7000 and Global 8000 jets and in commissioning a spacious cabin with large portholes;

-  In production, in which Aerolia will be manufacturing and assembling the panels and floor structures for the fuselage, the tubes and pipes, the belly fairing structure and the emergency exit door. The 12 and 14 m long fuselages will be delivered fully fitted with control systems and pipes as a 'plug and fly' subassembly to the Bombardier assembly lines.
